Unilever selects new global vice-president for brand

18th January 2011

Unilever has selected Paul Nevett as the new global vice-president of the Unilever brand, effective as of the beginning of next month.

In his new role, Mr Nevett is to work with marketing agency Ogilvy and Mather to improve the company's worldwide image and handle its corporate business, reports Marketing magazine.

He has worked within the food categories of the company's UK and Ireland division for the past ten years and was directly responsible for Unilever's involvement with the government's Change4Life campaign.

His previous position of vice-president of marketing for UK foods will be taken over by Hazel Detsiny.

Keith Weed, Unilever's chief marketing officer, said: "Paul is a very experienced marketer … I'm delighted that he will be able to bring this recent experience to bear on a global scale."

Last month, the company received approval from the shareholders of Alberto Culver over the proposed Unilever takeover of the personal care firm.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-800349130-ADNFCR
