Church and Dwight ‘very proud’ of 2010 business performance

10th February 2011

Church and Dwight has expressed satisfaction with its growth during the 2010 financial year.

The consumer products company's full-year sales total came to $2.59 billion (1.61 billion pounds), representing a year-on-year increase of 2.7 percent, while its earnings per share total rose by ten percent in the same time frame.

During the last 12 months, the firm was able to increase its market share for six of its eight power brands, while successfully introducing new products such as Trojan Fire and Ice contraceptives.

James Craigie, chairman and chief executive officer for Church and Dwight, said the company was "very proud" to have accomplished this despite difficult trading conditions.

He added: "We expect to build on our strong performance exiting 2010 and generate organic growth of three to four percent in 2011 while increasing gross margin by 50-100 basis points through our cost savings programmes."

In addition to Trojan condoms, other health and personal care offerings from Church and Dwight include the First Response fertility test and Nair hair removal range.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-800398164-ADNFCR
