PerkinElmer launches new FT-IR spectrometer offering
PerkinElmer has launched a new high-performance infrared (FT-IR) spectrometer that offers accurate and flexible performance for a number of markets.
The science company's new Frontier Infrared Spectrometer offers an unprecedented breadth of optimised sampling options, optimised sensitivity and configurability, as well as a variety of modular upgrade options.
It incorporates a variety of PerkinElmer innovations, including Atmospheric Vapor Compensation to eliminate interference and Dynascan fixed mirror-pair interferometer technology to compensate for mirror alignment errors.
Frontier is designed for use in the pharmaceutical field for chemical analysis and safe drug development applications, while it can also be utilised in projects involving polymers and consumer goods.
Dusty Tenney, president of analytical sciences and laboratory services at PerkinElmer, said: "With more than 65 years of experience in spectroscopy, PerkinElmer has now developed a specialised infrared spectroscopy platform that can be adapted for customers' research requirements."
Earlier this month, the firm announced its 2010 financial results, reporting a ten percent growth in annual sales compared to last year.
