DJO Incorporated changes name to DJO Global
DJO Incorporated has changed its name to DJO Global following the completion of a long-term business integration process that has strengthened its future growth prospects.
Since the company's acquisition by ReAble Therapeutics in 2007, the company has been undergoing significant consolidation measures designed to reduce costs, improve its sales capabilities and put in place a scalable, effective infrastructure.
Having recently successfully completed the horizontal integration of its marketing and commercial shared services, it has achieved all milestones relating to this process and can now move forwards as a unified global organisation.
Les Cross, president and chief executive officer of DJO Global, said the company is now one of the largest orthopaedic rehabilitation firms in the world.
He added: "We are well positioned to take advantage of important trends developing in global healthcare markets."
This comes in the same week that the firm reported its financial results for 2010, during which it was able to increase its net sales total for the year to $966 million (598.89 million pounds).
