Advanced Medical Solutions sees ‘outstanding’ growth in 2010

Advanced Medical Solutions has enjoyed a strong year in 2010, with corporate revenue increasing by 32 percent compared to the previous 12 months.

The medical technology company generated 31.9 million pounds during the year, with double-digit percentage increases also noted in terms of operating profit and earnings.

Highlights for 2010 include the strong market performance of the company's ActivHeal range and silver alginate offering, as well as the successful integration of its foam business.

In addition, the firm opened a new UK facility in Winsford, Cheshire in January 2011, which offers state-of-the-art manufacturing capabilities and laboratory space that will help to support its future growth initiatives.

Dr Don Evans, chairman of Advanced Medical Solutions, described 2010 as an "outstanding" year for the organisation, during which it met various commercial and operational targets.

He added: "I am pleased to report that 2011 has started well for the group and the outlook remains very positive."
