Procter and Gamble launches Oral-B Pro-Expert toothpaste

Procter and Gamble has expanded its Oral-B Pro-Expert dental care range with the addition of a new toothpaste product.

The all-in-one toothpaste has been formulated using stabilised stannous fluoride and polyphosphate, providing a range of benefits to gum health, reports Dentistry.co.uk.

Its long-lasting microbial action can help to prevent gum problems by combating plaque build-up and caries, while also offering protection against oral malodour and dentinal hypersensitivity.

Meanwhile, the polyphosphate polymer content guards against calculus formation to further undermine plaque retention and avoid staining.

According to the manufacturer, the product has been shown in laboratory and clinical studies to inhibit bacterial growth and metabolisms, as well as their ability to cling to teeth and gums.

The toothpaste was demonstrated in the UK for the first time in January 2011 at a seminar held in Weybridge.

Last month, Procter and Gamble announced that media personality Dr James Russell has been appointed as a new ambassador for the Oral-B brand.
