Synergy Health to launch procedure packs featuring medicinal products

7th April 2011

Synergy Health is to introduce medicinal products to its sterile procedure packs after receiving permission from UK regulators.

The Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency has granted the company a Manufacturers'/Importers' Licence to include medical compounds into its Concept packs, with the skin preparation solution Chloraprep set to be the first to be incorporated.

According to the manufacturer, this will allow NHS clinicians to save time and money on treatment procedures, while also eliminating the administrative complications associated with purchasing components from different suppliers.

David Bardsley, sales and marketing director for Synergy Health, said: "We can offer a multitude of components and pack configurations to suit the specific procedure taking place, including building bespoke procedure packs."

The launch of these new packs will be subject to efficacy testing of each individual product.

This comes after the company urged NHS bosses in February 2011 to consider the potential savings that could be unlocked by the health service through the use of cost-effective products such as those from Synergy Health.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-800491388-ADNFCR
