Biotronik highlights success of recent business performance
Biotronik has highlighted its success in achieving an above-the-market growth rate over the last few years in a new company performance update.
The medical device manufacturer addressed attendees at the Heart Rhythm 2011 Scientific Sessions in the US this month to discuss the consistent double-digit growth it has experienced over the last six years.
Despite the impact of the recent economic downturn, the company has been able to expand its workforce by 14 percent year on year during this period and has also made significant investment into various landmark clinical research projects.
Jake Langer, president of Biotronik's US division, noted that the firm has also managed to grow faster than the market for 16 consecutive financial quarters.
"Current and future conditions appear to favour our focused strategy for ensuring continued growth. We have a confident, positive outlook," he added.
Last month, the company published data from a new trial of its paclitaxel-releasing balloon device Pantera Lux, expressing a desire to expand the study programme based on the positive performance seen thus far.
