Sirona reports further growth in second quarter
Sirona has published its financial report for the second quarter of its current fiscal year, during which it saw another period of strong growth.
The dental technology firm generated $214.7 million (132 million pounds) in revenue during the three months ending on March 31st 2011, a 12.9 percent year-on-year increase.
Double-digit growth rates were seen for business segments such as imaging systems and computer-aided design and computer-aided manufacturing-based technologies, while revenue performance outside the US was particularly strong.
Jost Fischer, chairman and chief executive officer of Sirona, also highlighted the robust showing by the firm at the International Dental Show, which took place in March 2011.
"At the show, the company introduced a wide range of new products, ensuring that Sirona will continue to lead the dental industry's conversion to digital dentistry," he said.
Last month, Sirona highlighted the large contributions it has received from employees following fundraising efforts for members of staff in Japan left homeless by the recent earthquake.
