Quintiles names new head of integrated clinical services
Quintiles has announced the appointment of Frederic Sax as senior vice-president and global head of its integrated clinical services division.
Mr Sax joins the company following a biopharmaceutical industry career spanning almost 20 years, having most recently acted as vice-president of clinical design strategies for AstraZeneca, while he has also held an executive position at Merck Sharpe and Dohme.
In his new role, he will take charge of operations such as cardiac safety, biostatistics, regulatory affairs and lifecycle safety services, with the aim of helping clients to achieve maximum efficiency and cost-saving benefits.
Paula Brown Stafford, president of Quintiles Clinical Development, expressed confidence that Mr Sax's experience will give him an insight into the issues faced by its client base.
"He will help our customers navigate challenges and seize opportunities through the delivery of integrated clinical trial services," she added.
This comes after Quintiles strengthened its customer solutions business with the appointment of Vincent Aurentz as executive vice-president towards the end of last year.
