DJO Global appoints new CEO

DJO Global has announced that Michael Mogul will be taking over as chief executive officer (CEO) of the company later this month.

Mr Mogul has been selected by the board of directors as the successor to outgoing president and CEO Les Cross and will assume his new role on June 13th 2011.

He brings to the company a proven track record of sales and marketing expertise in the medical technology sector, having previously served as group president of orthopaedics for Stryker.

Since 2005, he has been tasked with rebuilding and driving growth for the business unit, which is Stryker's largest division.

"I am honoured to join the talented leadership team at DJO and looking forward to helping them grow the company in new and existing markets," said Mr Mogul.

After June 13th, Mr Cross will become DJO Global's non-executive chairman, a vital role that will nevertheless allow him to spend more time with his family.
