Molnlycke to support new surgical training congress

20th June 2011

Molnlycke Health Care is to support a new global congress on surgical training, to be held in Europe in September 2011.

Surgicon, which will be the first world congress on surgical training, takes place in Gothenburg in Sweden on September 8th and 9th and will involve the participation of surgeons and decision makers from the sector.

It is being organised in response to a lack of a forum for discussion over issues pertaining to teaching and learning technical surgical skills, with industry experts describing it as an event of major importance.

As a prominent provider of single-use surgical products and services for the professional healthcare industry, Molnlycke states it will be supporting the event to tie in with its holistic approach to enhancing patient care.

Jochen Hein, global marketing director for the surgical division at Molnlycke Health Care, said: "We are proud to support Surgicon as working with patient safety and the surgeon's security is part of our business offer to hospitals."

Last month, the company announced that it will also be supporting a new World Health Organization project to combat the global spread of antimicrobial resistance.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-800584702-ADNFCR
