Chandler Chicco appoints new Biosector 2 MD

Chandler Chicco Companies has announced that David Kane is to become managing director (MD) of its global healthcare arm Biosector 2.

Mr Kane will join the agency in August 2011 and will succeed current MD Neil Beasley, who will be taking up a newly created strategic client services and development role covering the entire Chandler Chicco group.

The new MD is currently a global brand leader at Ogilvy Healthworld – leading the account for pharmaceutical company Boehringer Ingelheim – and has pledged to pursue a vision aligning with the changing needs of the healthcare sector.

Speaking to PRWeek, European operations director Fiona Hall said the current restructuring taking place within Chandler Chicco is being conducted to allow it to better serve its clients.

"In a dynamic and evolving market, every practitioner should understand how to use every channel and if that means the agency structure needs to change to maximise it, so be it," she explained.

Biosector 2 was founded by Bob Chandler and Gianfranco Chicco and now employs around 50 workers, with offices based in London, New York and Los Angeles.
