Cook Medical invites contributions to Resonance stent registry
Cook Medical is inviting urologists to join and contribute to its new online registry for the Resonance Metallic Ureteral Stent.
Powered by the clinical data management system OpenDoor, the registry collates information regarding patient outcomes following use of the stent and helps to establish and define best practice guidelines among physicians.
Users can benefit from access to aggregated information and can benchmark individual results, track outcomes and collaborate with other clinicians to identify improved treatment methods.
Its global reach means that medical professionals can work alongside those from other institutions, agencies and specialities.
Jean-Marc Criessel, global leader of Cook's urology business unit, said: "This kind of physician and industry collaboration is what leads to innovative medical products and improved patient care."
This comes after the firm launched an updated version of the Resonance stent last week, which has been optimised to provide better visualisation and placement accuracy.
