Ventana Medical Systems launches OptiView DAB IHC Detection Kit
Ventana Medical Systems has launched what it describes as the first fully automated immunohistochemistry (IHC) detection kit to offer sensitive chemistry and flexible software.
The OptiView DAB IHC Detection Kit is designed to significantly enhance stain quality, meaning IHC assays can be viewed more clearly by pathologists.
By combining flexible software and enhanced chemistry, the system is said to offer a quicker turnaround time for slides while allowing greater scope for customisation.
This means labs can change assays to meet their performance characteristics and visual preferences.
Greg Yap, head of advanced staining assays for Ventana, described OptiView detection as an "important, innovative solution" that can help pathologists feel more confident in their diagnoses.
"This high-performance detection system is a perfect complement to current and future Ventana assay solutions that enable pathologists to contribute to the best patient outcomes," he added.
In March, Ventana unveiled its Virtuoso digital pathology application software, which offers features that can boost efficiency, collaboration and productivity.
