Malvern Instruments unveils new Insitec L analyser

3rd August 2011

Malvern Instruments has announced the launch of a new version of its Insitec L particle size analyser.

Produced in collaboration with mineral and metallurgical processing specialist Outotec, the model is designed to offer a sturdy solution to measuring slurries and emulsions in real time.

To meet ever-more-demanding applications and keep maintenance costs down to a minimum, the device is now even stronger, Malvern Instruments claimed.

It incorporates a telephoto lens that gives it improved optical alignment and stability, while its laser diffraction system is capable of measuring particles from 0.1 to 2,500 microns in size.

Enhanced temperature robustness and vibration tolerance are among the additional adaptations made to the Insitec L.

"The Insitec L has been tested extensively in the most arduous of minerals applications to ensure that it successfully and reliably meets the requirements of this, and many other industrial sectors," the company explained.

This news comes just days after Malvern Instruments released a new version of software for its Morphologi G3 particle characterisation system.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-800683071-ADNFCR
