Radiometer launches blood gas guide application for iOS

Radiometer has announced the launch of a new application for iOS devices that offers guidance on blood gas and the evaluation of arterial oxygen status.

The app is designed to be an easy-to-use guide that can aid in the treatment of critically ill patients affected by abnormal blood gas levels.

It can help physicians to judge arterial oxygen levels based on comprehensive blood gas analysis and lactate status, while also providing a description of parameters available on Radiometer's blood gas analyser devices.

Among the features of the app is the ability to add notes and reference intervals, as well as detailed images and search functions.

"Although … not every possible detail or condition can be covered, it can help the clinician make decisions with regard to the need for further tests and therapeutic interventions," Radiometer said.

Earlier this year, the company was presented with a red dot award to acknowledge the design quality of its next-generation ABL90 Flex blood gas analyser.
