Welch Allyn and Pelstar to introduce new product interface
Welch Allyn has announced a new partnership with Pelstar to offer automated compatibility between their medical technology offerings.
The agreement will see the Welch Allyn Connex Vital Signs Monitor (CSVM) and Welch Allyn Spot Vital Signs LXi receive automated interface operability with Pelstar's Health o meter professional scales.
It applies to connectivity-ready Health o meter offerings such as electronic column scales, paediatric scales and wheelchair and bariatric scales.
Together, the devices will form a connected weight, height and body mass index patient data solution, which can accelerate assessments while helping to minimise the risk of documentation errors.
Dan Maeir, president and chief executive officer of Pelstar, said: "Almost everywhere you find a Health o meter professional scale, it seems you find a Welch Allyn vital signs device in use as well, so this partnership is a natural fit."
This comes after the company announced the introduction of Masimo continuous and non-invasive total haemoglobin compatibility to its CSVM offering last month.
