Cook Medical launches endogo HD endoscopic imaging system

Cook Medical has introduced new high-definition imaging equipment aimed at making it easier for doctors to share information among patients and colleagues.

The endogo HD Portable Endoscopic Imaging System, developed by Envisionier Medical Technology, can capture detailed still images and video from inside the human body.

Hospital staff can share the data collected to avoid the need for conducting repeat procedures and the compact setup of the camera enables doctors to share findings with patients at their bedside, without having to wait for the pictures and footage to be processed elsewhere.

Global leader of the urology business unit at Cook Medical Jean-Marc Creissel said endogo offers significant benefits to the medical industry.

"The technology simplifies the process of storing and sharing medical images," he remarked, adding it "streamlines how physicians interact with each other, their patients and external facilities".

Cook Medical also recently introduced a Word catheter which can be used in the treatment of cysts located in the Bartholin gland.
