ASDM reports strong sales growth in 2010-11

ASDM has published its financial report for the fiscal year ending on June 30th 2011, during which it saw a double-digit annual increase in revenue.

The Australian medical technology firm's revenue total for the 12 months came to AU$7.4 million (4.88 million pounds), up by 19 percent year on year, while core product sales rose at the same rate.

During the period, the company saw a continued expansion in surgeon coverage using its core Active Total Knee replacement system, which will reach the milestone mark of 20 years of clinical history in August 2012.

It was also able to continue its sponsorship of the PAD clinical trial, while agreeing a number of new distribution arrangements and collaborative partnerships.

Among the firms with which ASDM will be allying are Ortho Group, Permedica, Arthrosurface and Parcus Medical.

Dr Greg Roger, the company's chief executive officer, added: "We have continued to improve our production processes to ensure we remain competitive in this very difficult market."
