Advanced Medical Solutions reports strong interim results

8th September 2011

Advanced Medical Solutions has published its interim financial results for the first half of 2011, during which it experienced a strong growth performance.

The company's revenue for the first six months of the year came to 16.3 million pounds, up by 12 percent year over year, while its profits, earnings and operating margins all improved.

Among the highlights of the period was the 64 percent growth in ActivHeal sales to the NHS, while its foam and silver alginate businesses also continued to deliver marked improvements.

The company has also seen rising US penetration for LiquiBand, while closing key collaborative agreements.

Dr Don Evans, chairman of Advanced Medical Solutions, said: "Our broad range of products, partners and markets, together with continued innovation, enables the board to remain optimistic about the long-term prospects of the group."

This comes after the firm announced last week that it will be allying with Surgical Innovations to create a new offering for the hernia mesh fixation market.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-800723301-ADNFCR
