Boehringer Ingelheim receives contract manufacturing strategy award

12th September 2011

Boehringer Ingelheim has been presented with the 2011 European biopharmaceutical contract manufacturing competitive strategy leadership award by analyst group Frost and Sullivan.

The consultancy firm has evaluated the company's performance against key competitors in terms of criteria such as execution of business strategy, use of competitive intelligence, brand positioning and customer satisfaction.

Based on this analysis, Boehringer Ingelheim was recognised as a global leader in its field, capable of providing excellence and best practices to its customers and collaboration partners.

Simon Sturge, corporate senior vice-president for biopharmaceuticals at the firm, said this award is a vindication of its commitment to customer service.

"We will not rest on our laurels and will continue to further improve our customer services to also deliver reliable and best quality in the future," he added.

Last month, the company announced that it has licensed GlymaxX production technology from ProBioGen for use in its future contract manufacturing operations.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-800725659-ADNFCR
