Waters introduces new SQ Detector 2

12th September 2011

Waters has introduced its new single quadrupole mass detector innovation, the SQ Detector 2, at an industry event.

The advanced device was showcased to attendees of the Japan Analytical Instruments Manufacturers Association conference and utilises the latest in chromatographic, quadrupole mass detection and open access technologies.

It is designed to be both easy to use and compatible with a wide array of chromatographic techniques – including UPLC, UPSFC, HPLC and GC – all of which will help to accelerate workflows and bolster lab efficiency.

Additionally, its use of proven proprietary technologies such as ZSpray and IntelliStart will ensure that it is able to deliver high-quality results.

Ed Sprake, senior product manager for Waters, said: "The result is a detector designed to make routine work easier with the flexibility to help scientists address any analytical challenges as they arise."

According to the firm's most recent financial report, Waters saw a 14 percent year-on-year increase in sales during the second quarter of 2011.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-800726557-ADNFCR
