Lilly introduces YouTube health channel

13th September 2011

Lilly has announced the launch of a new health channel on YouTube, which is designed to help promote healthier living.

The Lilly Health Channel has been introduced as part of the pharmaceutical company's Lilly for Better Health campaign and will feature a combination of educational and inspirational videos.

Among the content will be videos on health and wellness, employee and community outreach efforts, company-led health programmes and other non-product-branded initiatives.

The purpose of this launch is to engage patients in a new way, while also directing visitors to other online healthcare resources operated by the company, such as its LillyPad blog.

Dr Jack Harris, vice-president of Lilly's US medical division, said: "Every day, we make an impact on the lives of patients through our medicines, but there are also many other ways we are connecting with patients through programmes, education and outreach."

According to the company's most recent financial statement, Lilly experienced a year-on-year growth rate of nine percent during the second quarter of 2011.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-800726980-ADNFCR
