Quintiles named as industry-leading technology innovator

Quintiles has been honoured for its commitment to technological innovation in a new report compiled by InformationWeek.

The biopharmaceutical services provider has been named fourth in the InformationWeek 500 technology innovator rankings this week, in recognition of its Quintiles Infosario data management platform.

Additionally, the company was named as the industry leader in the biotech and pharmaceutical category, thanks to its compelling products, robust capabilities and extensive industry expertise.

Richard Thomas, Quintiles' chief information officer, said the Infosario platform has been designed to improve the use of data, facilitate faster decision-making and accelerate drug development, while minimising costs.

"It is a fantastic team effort over the long haul between functions such as business operations, IT and marketing, and we are delighted to receive this honour," he added.

This comes after the company's president of clinical development, Paula Brown Stafford, was presented with a women in business award from the Triangle Business Journal last month.
