SonoSite’s MicroMaxx wins praise from East Lancashire PCT

16th September 2011

SonoSite has won praise for its MicroMaxx point-of-care ultrasound systems from the East Lancashire Primary Care Trust (PCT).

The NHS organisation's musculoskeletal service utilises two of the SonoSite devices for use in the diagnosis and treatment of a variety of injury types at its primary healthcare centres.

Praising the MicroMaxx product, representatives from the PCT said its portability and user-friendly operation makes it ideal for catering to the service's workload.

Educational lead Dr Tony Mitchell also noted that its high image quality, five-year warranty and cost-effective nature makes it an essential part of patient care.

"I use the system for assessment and treatment of a wide range of non-surgical musculoskeletal conditions and the ability to scan in the clinic provides valuable extra information for diagnosis," he said.

Earlier this year, SonoSite's M-Turbo ultrasound system was singled out for praise by the Royal Brompton Hospital in London, which is home to the country's largest specialist heart and lung centre.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-800731553-ADNFCR
