GE Healthcare launches new women’s health imaging products

21st September 2011

GE Healthcare has announced the launch of advanced new women's health imaging products within its Voluson Expert series platform.

The HDlive and Volume SRI (speckle reduction imaging) offerings are being demonstrated to industry professionals at the 2011 International Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology congress this month.

HDlive is a key rendering tool for the Expert series' dynamic rendering engine, offering improved anatomical realism and superior depth perception, thus aiding diagnostic confidence.

Meanwhile, the Volume SRI system utilises volumetric multi-plane imaging to enhance the speckle reduction in clinical images, offering benefits compared to single-slice imaging.

Karl-Heinz Lumpi, general manager of women's health ultrasound for GE Healthcare, said: "The imaging potential of these latest GE Healthcare innovations is unlike anything we've developed in the past."

Last week, the company announced plans to make a billion-dollar commitment to oncology research and development over the next five years.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-800735765-ADNFCR
