Medtronic named among world’s best multinational workplaces

Medtronic has been named as one of the world's top 25 multinational workplaces.

The company was selected by The Great Place to Work Institute for an inaugural list published in Fortune magazine, which ranked multinational firms on their ability to promote a culture of credibility, respect, fairness, pride and camaraderie.

Placed 13th overall, Medtronic was the highest ranked healthcare business to feature on the prestigious list.

"Through innovation, we strive to create an environment where talented people want to work," said Caroline Stockdale, senior vice-president and chief human resources officer at Medtronic.

She described the firm's presence on the list as "a great acknowledgement of our strength in the global workplace".

Based in the US, Medtronic has more than 43,000 employees and operates in countries such as Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy and Canada.
