Source BioScience launches overnight DNA sequencing in Oxford

Source BioScience has announced the launch of an overnight DNA sequencing and data analysis service in Oxford.

Research teams based in and around the city can now submit a request for sequencing data to the firm and receive their results by 09:00 the following day at no extra cost.

The genetic analysis company already offers the overnight service in London, Cambridge and Berlin, where it has been available since October 4th.

Chief executive Dr Nick Ash said Source BioScience was "delighted" to extend the offering to researchers in Oxford.

"Our overnight service continues to set new standards in sequencing services and can play a major part in reducing downtime in research projects," he commented.

Dr Ash added that the company has witnessed a "significant increase" in sequencing volumes since the quick turnaround service was launched in June this year.

It uses the firm's SpeedREAD automated data delivery system and is the world's fastest DNA sequencing service, according to Source BioScience.
