Thermo Fisher to present at 2011 Baird Industrial Conference

Thermo Fisher Scientific is set to make a presentation at the 2011 Baird Industrial Conference in Chicago.

A statement from the company confirmed that president and chief executive Marc Casper will speak at the event, which is taking place at the city's Four Seasons Hotel, on Tuesday November 8th.

The firm will also offer a live webcast of Mr Casper's presentation via the investors section of its website, with an audio archive of the speech due to be uploaded next month.

Thermo Fisher published its financial results for the third quarter of the year on October 26th, revealing that revenues grew 13 percent to a record $2.97 billion (1.85 billion pounds) during the period.

However, the company lowered its full-year earnings and revenue forecast after citing ongoing challenges in academic and government markets.

"We remain well-positioned to navigate through this current environment to deliver solid growth, profitability and shareholder value," Mr Casper told investors.
