Ivoclar Vivadent launches multipurpose Tetric EvoCeram Bulk Fill

Ivoclar Vivadent has launched a new nano-hybrid composite material for use in bulk placement of direct posterior composite restorations.

Tetric EvoCeram Bulk Fill allows restorations to be placed, bulked, sculpted and cured using a single material, without the need for any additional layers or dispensing equipment.

It utilises three patented technologies, with Shrinkage Stress Relievers providing superior marginal integrity, while the Polymerization Booster provides accelerated curing and the Light-Sensitivity Filter extends working time.

The substance also features a smooth, creamy consistency, allowing for easy adaptation to cavity walls and immediate contouring after placement.

Ivoclar Vivadent said: "As a result, direct posterior composite restorations can be placed faster, easier and more efficiently."

In September 2011, the company expanded its product range further with the introduction of Bluephase Style, a compact new version of its successful Bluephase curing light that can be used more easily and comfortably than previous models.

It will be launched by Ivoclar Vivadent in January 2012.
