ASDM appoints new company director
ASDM has announced the appointment of medical industry veteran Peter Welsh as a new company director.
Mr Welsh has been part of the healthcare industry for 43 years, with the last 28 years being in the orthopaedics sector.
Having spent time as a distributor for Richards Medical Company selling orthopaedic implants and arthroscopy products, he went on to found Knee Developments Australia (KDA), a distributor of anterior cruciate ligament products.
KDA was subsequently able to assume a industry-leading position in the global market, prior to its purchase by Smith and Nephew subsidiary Dyonics.
Peter Kazacos, chairman of ASDM, said: "The appointment of Mr Welsh strengthens the knowledge in all aspects of the orthopaedic industry and will be a great asset to ASDM."
According to statements at the firm's last annual general meeting, ASDM saw a 20 percent year on year increase in core product sales over the last year, while also making progress with its current strategic review.
