Elsevier appoints new president for clinical analytics unit
Elsevier has announced that Thomas Zajac has been appointed as the new president of its Elsevier/MEDai clinical analytics business unit.
Mr Zajac joins the company with more than 25 years of experience in the healthcare sector, having spent extended spells with medical industry businesses such as CareScience and Transition Systems.
Most recently, he was the managing director of Zajac and Associates, providing product and strategy services to private equity, vendor and provider customers in the healthcare sector.
In his new role at Elsevier/MEDai, he will be tasked with bolstering the company's growth efforts, at a time when analytics are becoming an increasingly major factor in the industry.
Michael Hansen, chief executive officer of Elsevier Health Sciences, said: "Under his leadership MEDai will continue to help empower customers to make sound clinical and financial decisions that reduce risk, lower costs and improve the quality of care."
This week, Elsevier also announced that it has renewed its agreement to provide electronic journal content access to the UK-based JISC Collections.
