Dechra highlights success of Dechra Academy scheme
Dechra has highlighted the success enjoyed by its Dechra Academy online support programme since its introduction one year ago.
The dedicated web-based resource for animal health practitioners was launched in December 2010 and offers continuous professional development (CPD) opportunities to staff, as well as engaging with vets via social media content.
Since last year, more than 18,900 hours of CPD have been completed and 3,682 certificates awarded to vets and vet nurses, while the service itself has evolved to offer content such as webinars and information on CPD events.
Sharon Sheridan, digital marketing executive at Dechra, noted that this success has been achieved by working with animal health professionals in the development of the scheme.
"The Dechra Academy brings to together the latest thinking on a range of clinical conditions, providing up-to-the-minute training, tips, tools and case studies to help spread best practice," she added.
Earlier this year, the company expanded its product range with the launch of Celox Veterinary, a new haemostat that is able to stem bleeding within three minutes of use.
