Leica launches new DVM2500 and DVM5000 digital microscopes

19th December 2011

Leica has announced the launch of the newest additions to its versatile digital microscope range, the DVM2500 and DVM5000.

Both new devices have been designed to offer the same benefits as previous Leica microscopy products, including high-performance functionality, flexible usage and fast performance.

The Leica DVM2500 is optimised for versatility, combining a FireWire camera and a compact control unit, standardised Microsoft Windows interoperability, a powerful LED light source and a modular software system.

Meanwhile, the DVM5000 HD is a compact all-in-one model that emphasises benefits such as state-of-the-art specifications, user-friendly operability and low energy consumption for maximum efficiency.

"With the DVM2500 and DVM5000 HD, Leica Microsystems is offering two microscope systems that deliver full reports fast and with digital precision," said the company.

This follows the launch of the efficient new LED illumination modules LED3000 and LED5000 for microscopy applications earlier this month, which are designed for use with Leica's stereo microscope systems.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801243628-ADNFCR
