Sirona introduces Siroperio and Siroimplant ultrasonic tips

Sirona has announced the launch of a new range of high-quality ultrasonic tips for use in periodontology and implantology applications.

The company has worked alongside dental professionals to design the new Siroperio and Siroimplant tips, which are covered in plastic and are intended for cleaning implants and ceramic or metallic restorations.

Siroperio tips provide better access and depth measurement during periodontal techniques, providing optimum access to subgingival regions while protecting surrounding tissue.

Meanwhile, the Siroimplant IP 1 tip for implantology uses a special plastic to enable gentle work to be performed on surfaces and provides optimal biofilm management, while it can also be sterilised and reused.

Heike Forell, product manager for Sirona, said: "We closely followed user specifications and needs during development, such as in terms of better accessibility, steeper angles or completely rounded tip geometry."

Earlier this year, the company expanded its product range further with the introduction of the premium-category Teneo treatment centre, which offers a number of convenient new functions.
