Radiometer devices help Hampshire hospital meet standards
Radiometer has highlighted the role played by its blood gas analyser systems in helping the Royal Hampshire County Hospital meet key industry requirements.
The medical facility utilises six of Radiometer's devices – including the 810, 820, 825M and 835M models – and relies on the life science firm's QA Portal to meet European Quality Assurance (EQA) standards.
Using the system's worldwide Datacheck system and Radiance connectivity, the hospital is able to rely on 24-hour monitoring, ensuring that instruments are always working correctly and aligned with each other.
Colin Dickens, manager of the biochemistry department at Royal Hampshire County Hospital, says this greatly reduces the burden of regulatory checks, providing researchers with peace of mind.
"We still participate in WEQAS but, as we know that our analysers are well aligned, we do not need to submit data from every instrument," he explained.
This comes after the company earned praise from the Royal London Hospital last year for the speed and effectiveness provided by the AQT90 Flex system.
