DJO Global reports record sales performance for 2011

25th January 2012

DJO Global has published its financial report for the 2011 business year, during which the medical technology company achieved a record-breaking level of sales.

Preliminary net sales data for the 12 months came to approximately $1.07 billion (689.65 million pounds), surpassing the billion-dollar mark for the first time and reflecting year-on-year growth of 11.3 percent.

Strong double-digit growth in the fourth quarter of the year contributed to this performance, with its bracing and vascular, international and surgical implant business segments all seeing improvements.

Also benefiting the bottom line were the company's recent programme of acquisitions, which included firms such as Elastic Therapy, Circle City Medical and Dr Comfort.

Mike Mogul, DJO Global's president and chief executive officer, said: "We are optimistic that the improving trends we saw in the fourth quarter will continue and will drive accelerating net sales growth in 2012."

Last week, the company announced the appointment of Mike Zafirovski as its new non-executive chairman of the board, as well as naming John Murphy as a director.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801274629-ADNFCR
