Bayer appoints chief financial officer for UK and Ireland

Bayer has announced the appointment of Ute Bockstegers as its new chief financial officer (CFO) and head of business administration and partnering in the UK and Ireland.

The former CFO of Bayer Canada has been with the multinational organisation for almost 30 years, holding leadership positions around the world since joining the firm as a marketing representative.

In her latest role, she will be responsible for offering management, leadership and strategic direction for the company across the British Isles, with a focus on implementing proactive business transformation.

She succeeds the outgoing Stephen Waite, who is retiring from Bayer following a 35-year association with the organisation.

"Following Bayer's global strategy, it's about how we can do business differently to be more efficient and ensure success across all parts of the business," said the new CFO.

Last month, Bayer HealthCare announced that it will be expanding its medical technology manufacturing capabilities through the opening of a new facility in Minnesota.
