Parexel expands clinical logistics offering
Parexel has announced the expansion of its global Clinical Logistics Services.
The biopharmaceutical services firm said it will help clients to manage clinical trial material supply requirements with an enhanced logistics infrastructure.
Its logistics control hubs are already located in 17 countries, with Parexel now revealing plans to set up a new ancillary warehouse in the US and an enlarged depot in Santiago, Chile.
"We are taking a strategic approach to the biopharmaceutical industry's steadily growing clinical logistics needs," said Kurt Norris, corporate vice-president of Clinical Research Services at Parexel.
He added that clinical trials are becoming "more complex" and are frequently spread across multiple global locations, which makes it important that firms can rely on the efficient and timely delivery of supplies.
The company has also stated its commitment to establishing an optimised clinical materials supply chain in order to create value for its clients.
Last month, Parexel announced details of a new research alliance with the University Hospitals Bristol NHS Foundation Trust.
