Hospira hires new staff to key leadership roles

14th February 2012

Hospira has announced the hiring of several new members of its leadership teams, a move designed to improve the company's operational excellence.

The new recruitment initiative is led by the selection of Zena Kaufman as its new senior vice-president for quality, effective as of February 27th 2012, with the healthcare sector veteran to take responsibility for global quality systems at Hospira.

Ms Kaufman most recently served as vice-president for the global quality systems division of Abbott's pharmaceuticals business, while previous employers also include Pfizer and Pharmacia.

Meanwhile, Matt Stober, Shane Ernst, Marty Nealey, Andrew Knudten and Dr Thomas Templeman have been chosen for new roles within the company's US operations, centring on its Rocky Mount facility.

This also follows the appointment of Richard Davies as Hospira's new chief commercial officer earlier this month.

Chief executive officer F Michael Ball said: "In their previous roles, our new team members have successfully delivered the highest standards of quality and regulatory compliance."ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801291972-ADNFCR
