27th February 2012

Leo Pharma has announced that Anders Spohr has been named executive vice-president (EVP) for global product supply.

Mr Spohr, who joined the pharmaceutical company in the role of senior vice-president in December 2011, assumes the new position on March 1st 2012 and takes responsibility for ensuring efficient and streamlined production processes worldwide.

He is taking over from John Mehlbye, who is retiring from the role but will still be on the Leo Foundation board moving forwards.

With qualifications in chemical engineering, biotechnology and business administration, Mr Spohr began his healthcare industry career at Novo Nordisk, before moving to Novozymes when the latter became an independent business.

He occupied a number of roles over an 11-year spell with the company, including that of vice-president for supply chain management.

Last month, Leo Pharma presented grants to a number of European life science business students as part of its annual BioBusiness and Innovation Programme.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801303011-ADNFCR
