Hologic to introduce new products at ECR 2012
Hologic will be introducing four new life science innovations at the 2012 European Congress of Radiology (ECR).
The company will attend the European Society of Radiology's annual meeting in Vienna from March 1st to 5th 2012 in order to launch four ready-to-market technology advances.
Among them will be a pair of new additions to its Selenia Dimensions breast tomosynthesis system – the C-View image reconstruction algorithm for 2D image synthesis and the ImageChecker 3D Calc computer-aided detection system.
Other products set to be on display include the Hologic Trident specimen radiography system, which will be making its European debut, while a work-in-progress of the Fluoroscan InSight- FD mini C-arm system will also be featured.
The manufacturer said this prototype device "is designed to deliver greater arch depth, flexibility and faster acquisition times than the current system".
Last month, the company announced its financial results for the first quarter of the 2012 business year, reporting a year-on-year revenue increase of 9.3 percent.
