Gore named among top UK employers

WL Gore and Associates (Gore) has been named one of the top ten companies in the UK to work for in a report from the Sunday Times.

The technology firm achieved seventh place in the newspaper's prestigious annual list, up six places compared to 2011, while it was also recognised as the single best company to work for in Scotland for the ninth straight year.

Gore's ongoing strong performance in the rankings has been attributed to the organisation's culture, employee satisfaction, health and safety standards and benefits policies, among many other criteria.

Ann Gilles, Gore's human resources team associate, also thanked the business' associates for their work in upholding strong corporate values.

She added: "As well as aiding the innovation that results in world-leading products, our corporate culture's fundamental beliefs, where trust in the individual engenders engagement and accountability, make Gore a great company to work for."

This comes after the company was featured on a similar 'best companies to work for' ranking compiled by Fortune magazine in the US this January.
