NPA launches e-learning platform for pharmacy students

19th March 2012

The National Pharmacy Association (NPA) has launched an interactive e-learning platform to aid the training of UK pharmacy students.

Responding to demand from NPA members for a new means of web-based learning, the online service allows students to access course materials at their convenience, while interacting with tutors and fellow learners.

Its interactive features mean that coursework can be marked quickly, while pharmacists and pharmacy owners can use the platform to keep track of how students are performing.

The tool is intended to form part of the NPA's blended learning infrastructure and complements the face-to-face training sessions and telephone and email support also offered by the organisation.

Deborah Evans, director of pharmacy at the NPA, said: "We have listened to members throughout to ensure we have a product that builds on the excellent quality expected of the NPA but provides great value for money."

Earlier this month, the association also published a new advisory fact sheet providing pharmacists with guidance on how to prevent vitamin D deficiency among at-risk groups.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801321054-ADNFCR
