Steris showcases new products at AORN

Steris is showcasing a number of new products, software, integration systems and equipment at the Association of PeriOperative Registered Nurses (AORN) Congress this week.

The company is attending the New Orleans event in order to demonstrate innovations such as the RealView Perioperative Workflow Optimisation Controller, the SAFE Situational Awareness for Everyone system and Harmony hybrid operating rooms.

Steris' product range is designed to offer holistic solutions for perioperative and sterile processing facilities, providing advantages in terms of streamlined workflow, increased throughput and simpler automated processes.

Using these systems, staff can reduce their own workloads, thus allowing them to focus more intently on patient care.

Bill O'Riordan, vice-president and general manager of Steris Surgical Solutions, said: "We look forward to showing AORN members the advanced Steris technologies and capabilities that are designed to help simplify and optimise their very complex worlds."

This comes after Steris recently announced a new collaboration with St Jude Medical that will see the companies offering planning and implementation services for US cardiac laboratories.
