PerkinElmer to introduce Reaction Genius software at ACS meeting

PerkinElmer is to showcase its new Reaction Genius software platform as part of a number of products to be featured at the American Chemical Society (ACS) Spring 2012 National Meeting and Expo.

At the San Diego show, the life science company will be demonstrating how the new web-based system can provide rapid chemical reaction search and chemistry analytics for electronic laboratory notebook platforms.

Offering chemists immediate and enterprise-wide visibility to internal chemical information across a variety of global platforms, the system is designed to foster improved workflow productivity via better chemistry knowledge.

It is one of several PerkinElmer offerings to be demonstrated at the ACS meeting, with established products such as the Ensemble for Chemistry software, ChemBioOffice Desktop suite and E-Notebook with Bioassay also set to be featured.

Michael Stapleton, general manager for informatics at PerkinElmer, said: "We are very pleased to launch the Reaction Genius offering at ACS, as part of our mission to enable the most productive informatics-based chemistry research environments possible for our customers."

Last week, the company announced a new alliance with Journeys Within Our Community to aid a clean water programme in an impoverished Cambodian village.
