Takeda reassigns directors amid reorganisation
Takeda has published further details of its ongoing structural reorganisation, with two directors and other members of the senior leadership team being assigned to new roles.
Toyoji Yoshida, previously managing director and chief administrative officer, will become managing director responsible for internal control and special missions.
Meanwhile, managing director and senior vice-president of Takeda's pharmaceutical marketing division Yasuhiko Yamanaka is set to become assistant to the chief executive officer with responsibility for globalisation.
A number of senior officers at the Japanese company will also receive new assignments, with all changes due to be effective from April 1st.
Takeda announced this week that the Corporate Strategy & Planning department and Finance & Accounting department will undergo a joint reorganisation to form two new departments – the Corporate Strategy department and Corporate Finance & Controlling department.
Following its acquisition of Swiss-based pharmaceutical business Nycomed last year, the firm is currently pushing forward with a number of initiatives under the Transformation into a New Takeda banner.
