Elsevier launches new online resource ClinicalKey
Elsevier has announced the launch of a next-generation online clinical information resource called ClinicalKey.
The new service draws data from more than 700 textbooks and 400 top medical journals, providing up-to-date and accurate answers and data spanning every medical and surgical specialty.
It is powered by the Smart Content search engine system, which offers an unparalleled understanding of different clinical terms and the relationship between them, allowing users to easily locate the most relevant medical content.
ClinicalKey launches with an institutionally-focused product aimed at hospitals, healthcare organisations and medical schools, with a more individually-oriented version set to follow in the third quarter of this year.
Jim Donohue, Elsevier's managing director for global clinical reference, said: "ClinicalKey is part of Elsevier's continuing efforts to help clinicians improve quality and efficiency through the smarter use of healthcare information."
Last month, the company announced the launch of Operations Research for Health Care and Health Policy and Technology, two new medical journals offering high-quality articles on a number of important subjects.
