Bausch and Lomb launches PureVision2 HD for Astigmatism lenses in UK

17th April 2012

Bausch and Lomb has announced the UK introduction of its PureVision2 HD for Astigmatism contact lenses this month.

The new toric lenses have been designed to provide clear vision, stability and comfort, incorporating Auto Align Design technology for improved steadiness via an optimised ballast design and a large lens diameter.

Studies have shown that these new lenses are able to deliver on the promised benefits, with 83 percent of patients reporting overall comfort when wearing them in a recent trial.

The basic range of PureVision2 HD for Astigmatism products is available now, with further additions planned for May, before the complete portfolio of powers and options arrives by July.

Nichola Menzel, Bausch and Lomb's vision care professional relations manager for northern Europe, said: "Initial feedback from both eye care practitioners and patients for the PureVision2 HD for Astigmatism has been very positive."

The lenses have been available in the US market since October 2011 and have proven a popular choice among ocular health experts.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801342127-ADNFCR
